One dead after two-vehicle accident on Bristol HWY

A Tennessee woman was killed and three other individuals were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Scott County Sunday evening (Dec. 29). At 10:12 p.m., Virginia State Police Trooper J.P. Flanary was called to the scene in the 3400 block of Bristol Highway.

The driver of the Grand Prix, Robin H. McAmis, 57, of Church Hill, Tenn., died at the scene. She was wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the Uplander, Thomas G. Dooley, 57, of Hiltons, Va., was injured in the crash. He was transported to Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn., along with his wife and passenger, Cathy Dooley, 53, of Hiltons, and his grandson, Thomas M. Dooley, 3, of Hiltons. None of their injuries is considered life threatening. Both adults were wearing seat belts. Three-year-old Dooley was secured in a child safety seat.
