Boy, 7, dies in Highway 401 hit-and-run

 A seven-year-old boy is dead after a hit-and-run on Highway 401 near Dixie Road Tuesday afternoon.

 Police say a Honda Odyssey carrying four children and two adults was travelling westbound on the highway when it was struck by a Hummer just before 5 p.m. The Honda then struck another vehicle.

 The seven-year-old boy suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. All other occupants of the Honda were taken to hospital as a precaution.

 Police say the Hummer fled the scene and was later found abandoned near Dixie Road. Police are now looking for the driver.
