A five-year-old boy is dead following a two-vehicle crash on a slippery highway west of Halifax.
R-C-M-P say the collision happened last night when the driver of a pickup lost control of his vehicle on the Timberlea Parkway.
The truck crashed into a van carrying a father and his two young sons.
Police say the five-year-old succumbed to his injuries, but his eight-year-old brother was taken to hospital.
The older boy is expected to recover from his wounds.
The father was not hurt and the 34-year-old driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries.
