One person is dead and another is in hospital with life threatening injuries following a rollover crash early Friday morning near Cremona.
Police had to close a section of Highway 22 on Friday morning for about five hours to investigate the scene of a fatal crash just north of Cremona.
Didsbury RCMP, Provincial EMS, and the Cremona Fire Department responded to the scene two kilometers north of Cremona at 1:05 a.m.
There, they found a severely damaged Dodge pickup truck in the ditch.
Two men were found lying on the ground nearby, and had apparently been ejected from the vehicle.
One of the occupants, a 24 year old from Barriere, B.C., was dead at the scene.
The other man, a 29 year old from Didsbury, was transported to hospital in Calgary by STARS air ambulance.
The investigation continues, but police believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
