One person is dead and another injured after a serious collision near Athabasca.
RCMP say they responded to the incident on Highway 2 around 2:20 a.m. Sunday.
A 23-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene while a 23-year-old man was transported to hospital.
His condition is unknown and officials say he was not wearing a seat belt at the time.
Investigators said the collision happened after a pick up the couple were travelling in crossed the centre line and hit a northbound community bus, which was carrying a local hockey team.
The bus driver suffered minor injuries but none of the passengers were hurt.
