Two people were injured in a Saturday afternoon crash

Police are investigating an afternoon crash in the city’s north that has sent two people to hospital with undisclosed injuries.
At approximately 12:20 p.m., a southbound Honda left the road after being cut off by a Ford van near the intersection of Centre St. and 68 Ave. N. The car collided with a 21-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman sitting on a bus stop bench.
EMS transported the two victims to the Foothills Hospital in serious, but stable and non-life threatening condition.

According to EMS officials, the driver of the car did not require medical treatment.
Officers continue to investigate. Speed and alcohol do not appear to have contributed to the crash.
