A 44-year-old man was airlifted by STARS to hospital in Calgary after the loader he was using was hit by a Canadian Pacific Rail train north of Innisfail.

RCMP responded to the crash on the rail line at Township Road 362 at about 6:10 a.m. Tuesday and says the southbound train hit the loader that was working on the rail construction site.
