The Youth Association for Social Awareness (YASA) a Non Governmental organization is working in Lebanon and the Middle East on Injury Prevention.  Among its wide programs to reduce injuries is the Driver Improvement Program.

The Driver Improvement Program (DIP) is a workshop given by YASA to professional drivers aiming to improve their driving skills.  It helps educate the participants on defensive driving, mechanical maintenance, mechanism of trauma and many more all to insure safe driving.

Another major advantage of the program is that it helps companies not only reduce the number of accidents and traffic violations, but also it edjucates the drivers how to create friends to their company and not enemies on the road through their ethical driving, hence reduce the physical and financial losses.

The DIP workshop is theoretical and takes around 4 hours or 8 hours.

The maximum number of participants in one workshop is 30 participants.  This is to facilitate an interactive training and help deliver the message in a timely and effective way.

Visual material such as flipcharts and magnetic board are used in the training to allow participants to visualize the scenarios in discussion.

By the end of the training the participants will receive the Driver Guide,Driver Education Questions and Answers Guide, YASA's news papers for Public Safety , brochures,  and a certificate for completing the DIP and commitment towards better driving skills.

Institutions and organizations with excellent  safety records are ones which have developed and adopted a proactive rather than a reactive approach to managing their risks from whatever source they may arise. They attach the same importance to the achievement of high standards of safety as they do to for other main objectives of these Institutions and organizations...

The true cost of road traffic crashes on institutions are nearly always higher than just the costs of repairs and insurance claims. The consequences of a road traffic crash on the self-employed and small buisnesses are likely to be proportionately greater than on a larger buisness with greater resources. The benefits to you from managing work-related road safety can be considerable, no matter the size of your buisness.
